Jan - Feb Intro Class Deposit (Tuesdays 5:30-7:30)
In our "Intro To Throwing" class you'll receive instruction on centering and throwing pottery on the wheel before learning how to throw some basic forms like bowls, cups and mugs. You'll also learn some basics of glazing your pottery and you get to keep everything you make! These classes are great for anyone who is new to pottery or has had a small amount of experience.
Pricing
This 6-week class costs $275 per person ($45.83 / Session fee with tools and clay included).
$100 Online deposit will go towards the class fee. This deposit is refundable until 48 hours before the first day of class.
Schedule
Week 1:
The first week of class you'll be spending a lot of time getting aquainted with clay, your tools, and learning to center and throw.
Weeks 2-4:
Throughout weeks 2-4 we will be learning more in depth techniques for trimming our work (week 2 or 3) and focusing on getting as much practice as possible! The Class's interests usually steer what items get made but we tend to practice making cups, bowls, plates, and mugs.
Weeks 5-6:
The fifth and sixth weeks you will receive instruction on attaching and altering your thrown forms which includes the creation of mugs! Additionally, we will cover the basics of glazing and prepping pieces for the kiln.
Pick-up Day!
Scheduled with your instructor there will be a "Pick Up Party" where everyone comes in to see their work together unveiled for the first time!
